About the workshop

This webinar is designed to guide you through each section of the new online Barring Referral Service, providing you with an overview of the web-based service and what to expect as an organisation.

A referral can be made when there are concerns that an individual may have harmed a child or vulnerable adult, or put a child or vulnerable adult at risk of harm.

Organisations who employ individuals or have volunteers who carry out regulated activity with children or adults have a legal duty to refer to DBS if certain conditions are met.

Personnel suppliers who provide individuals to organisations to carry out regulated activity also have a legal duty to refer.

The workshop will run for approximately 45-minutes, including a 15-minunte Q&A at the end.

The Barring Referral Service webinar is delivered by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) in partnership with Homecare Association. You may also be interested in attending our other DBS webinar this October about the Legal Duty to Refer.
