Wales consultation: Code of practice on quality, concerns and closure of care and support services

The Welsh Government are consulting on the Code of Practice that local authorities and statutory partners will need to follow in the event of escalating concerns about a commissioned care service, including where this leads to the services' closure.

The current guidance on 'Escalating Concerns' applies to care homes only. This new draft guidance has been expanded to cover other kinds of care service, including homecare services. 

The consultation on the Code of Practice is open until 30 June 2025.
