Reunite Families UK are researching the impact of the spouse and partner migration rules on couples and families. Their 2023 research found that many couples experience separation, distress, and enforced single-parenting as a result of the rules, which have become harder since.

The organisation's 2023 research was presented to the Home Office and the Home Affairs select committee and the new research to build evidence will be used to inform policy making and debate.

The survey is for people who have applied or considered applying for the UK’s spouse and partner visa between 2012 and now, including people who are not able to apply, for example due to the financial threshold.

More details about who the survey is for can be found here.

Reunite UK would like the 2024 survey to be shared with people who may be impacted by the rules.

The survey is designed to take around 30 minutes to complete and all responses will be anonymous. Many thanks.
