The Care Quality Commission’s latest update on 20 June 2024 includes a new masterclass video on how scoring features in the new assessment model.

There is further information on scoring in CQC’s guidance on the new assessment approach.

CQC also describes, in the update, what you can do in the new provider portal, including notifications and registration activities.

CQC says providers can now contact them directly about financial matters by emailing their contact centre.  This is part of their improvements to internal finance systems.

Given both assessment frequency and relationship management are issues which have caused problems for providers, members may wish to consider providing feedback to CQC, if they are able.
