Oxford House Community Care receives Regional Award at The Great British Care Awards
Oxford House Community Care received the award at the Great British Care Awards ceremony at the Hilton Metropole in Brighton. The awards represented all areas in social care, from the independent and voluntary sectors; including residential, home care, housing with care, learning disabilities & autism services, children & young people services and suppliers of products and services to the sector.
The GBCA judges commented: “For 32 years, this company has delivered exceptional care with a dedicated team, unwavering support for both clients and staff, and a commitment to quality—from live-in services to fostering a supportive workplace environment. Well done!"
Oxford House Community Care were represented in 5 award finalist categories. Tasha Nelms, Care Coordinator Apprentice at Oxford House was highly commended for her nomination in the Newcomer Award. The GBCA judges said: “Though new to the sector, Tasha received excellent training and support from their manager and quickly grew confident in their role. They have excelled at building relationships with clients, improving their day by making small adjustments, and collaborating effectively in challenging situations. Their team excels at adapting to meet the needs of clients with advanced dementia, ensuring safety and delivering the highest standard of care.”
The Management Team at Oxford House Community Care are extremely proud to receive this accolade. Donna Doyle, Registered Manager commented: “Congratulations to the whole care team, this is a joint effort, and it reflects the compassion and dedication each and every member of staff puts in to ensure we deliver high quality care.”
Oxford House Community Care will now go through to the National Finals in March 2025.
