National RSV vaccination programme announced
A national Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) vaccine programme will start from 1 September in England and include a vaccine for pregnant women over 28 weeks to help protect their newborn babies, a routine programme for those over 75, and a one-off campaign for people aged 75 to 79, the groups at the greatest risk according to the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation. Wales and Northern Ireland will also start in September, while Scotland will begin from 12 August.
CQC controlled drugs annual update report for 2023
The Care Quality Commission has published its controlled drugs annual update report for 2023 which highlights key findings from the regulator’s work in 2023 under the Controlled Drugs (Supervision of Management and Use) Regulations 2013.
