New research: Using health and care services at the end of life

A new Nuffield Trust blog series looks at different aspects of end of life care: first, primary care services used by people who died at home and the impact of the increasing number and proportion of people dying at home since the start of the pandemic. Second, the health and care services that people who die in care homes are drawing on, and how this has changed. And third, how hospital services are used by people in the last month of life and opportunities to improve care.

ADASS respond to Dash Review of CQC’s performance

The Association of Directors of Adult Social Services has written to Dr Penny Dash, who recently published an interim report into the operational effectiveness of the Care Quality Commission, with similar letters going to the Department of Health and Social Care and CQC. These set out issues that Directors and their staff have raised and offer to work collaboratively to support the improvement work required at CQC.
