Ashley Dalton MP has replaced Andrew Gwynne MP as a Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State in the Department of Health and Social Care.
The MP for West Lancashire worked with grassroots communities in local government for 25 years, working in regeneration, community development and community cohesion for Havering and Southend councils.
Ashley was selected as Labour's candidate for the West Lancashire by-election in October 2022. Following the July 2024 general election, she was appointed as a PPS in the Department of Health and Social Care.
