Labour Market Enforcement Strategy includes focus on social care
The Director of Labour Market Enforcement has published her Labour Market Enforcement Strategy 2024 to 2025.
Labour Market Enforcement Strategy 2024 to 2025 - GOV.UK
In the strategy, she notes that non-compliance with employment protection in social care is increasing and that this is an area of concern. This is particularly the case for overseas workers who are in the country on work visas and are concerned about raising complaints against their sponsor. The Director recommends that in the next six months an assessment should be made of the joint approach to the adult social care sector. Thus should include looking at risk assessments, collaborative working, data sharing, resources, communications, compliance and how her office, its information hub and the three enforcement bodies work together. Locally organised support for workers is also discussed.
