In 2021 the Homecare Association called on the PM to keep his promise on social care reform #KeepYourPromiseBoris
In July 2019, the PM promised to 'fix the crisis in social care once and for all.' Between 2019 and 2021, two million requests for care were turned down. As part of the Care and Support Alliance, we joined with 50 organisations to write to the PM to ask him to act now #KeepYourPromiseBoris
What we did
We asked Homecare Association members to join in with the campaign and join our calls to the PM. We asked members to write to their MPs. We also produced cards which highlighted the key role homecare plays in society. These were shared on social media.
Nearly 100 weeks ago, the PM promised to 'fix the crisis in #socialcare once and for all.' Since then 2m requests for care have been turned down. Today, we are 1 of 50 organisations who have written to the PM to ask him to act now https://t.co/s4tTTluQnZ #KeepYourPromiseBoris pic.twitter.com/WZ7ie97vmJ
