A new report from the Jospeh Rowntree Foundation (JRF) has predicted the changing care landscape across the next decade.

They found that an extra 400,000 people in the UK could be providing care for more than 10 hours a week by 2035. Using their metrics when applied to caring for less than 10 hours per week, the number of people providing care increases to 990,000.

The Foundation recommends creating a Future Care Needs Taskforce, which would look at ways to supporting the growing workforce, introducing paid leave and providing additional community support.
