The owners of a homecare provider based on the Isle of Wight have been recognised nationally for their outstanding achievements.

Vicky and Paul Butler, who operate Right at Home Isle of Wight, have been named winners in the Great British Franchisee Awards 2024.

The coveted awards, organised by Whichfranchise, celebrate business success and reflect winners’ achievements in stability, growth, staff retention, customer satisfaction, community involvement and inspired leadership.

Vicky and Paul launched Right at Home Isle of Wight, a franchise of Right at Home UK, in 2021 and have since gone on to receive multiple awards for their business, along with an Outstanding rating from the Care Quality Commission.

Their latest win was announced on stage to a packed audience at Right at Home UK’s Annual Conference in Cheshire last week.

Commenting on their award win, Vicky said: “Paul and I were in complete shock to have won the Great British Franchisee Award. It was such an amazing way to find out and celebrate with our colleagues in the Right at Home network.

“Of course, this would not have been possible without the support of our incredible team who work tirelessly every day to provide the highest standards of care for our clients. We are so proud of them.”

Launched in Bembridge, the business has recently opened a second office premises in Shanklin, to extend its services to a wider area and provide more job opportunities for local people.

Vicky and Paul have built a team of care professionals who are dedicated to improving the quality of life for their clients and expect their team to share their own high standards of quality and ethics, fostering trust with those they care for.

Their Great British Franchisee Award win also reflects the owners’ active role in the community, ensuring as many adults as possible receive the support they need to live fulfilling and enriched lives.

In 2023, the couple launched the Older Persons Good Living Show to showcase businesses and services on the Island which support older people to remain living happily and independently in their own homes.

The show returned to Sandown Airport in August, with over 500 Islanders in attendance.

Praising the Isle of Wight team, Heather Wehrle, Director of People and Brand at Right at Home UK, said: “Vicky and Paul have demonstrated that their ethos is to prioritise quality over quantity when it comes to recruiting highly professional CareGivers and delivering exceptional care. This has led them to achieve standout performance indicators and multiple awards.

“When the Isle of Wight team commit to a project, they give it their all, and the scale and scope of the value they have added to their local community, so early in their franchise journey, has surpassed anything we've seen before.

“Our team at National Office is collectively delighted with their Great British Franchisee Award win and we truly believe that Right at Home Isle of Wight can achieve anything they set their sights on.”
