Skills for Care have created an Induction Programme for health and social care, following the Messenger Review of Leadership.
The aim is to help employers ensure new employees feel happy and settled in their role and promote a sense of belonging to the organisation and working in the care sector.
The toolkit for new starters at all levels in all types of role in social care is available here. There is additional guidance on induction for groups of new starters, young people, people who move from other parts of the organisation and agency staff, plus checklists of activities and links to further resources.
There is also a guide for managers on how to use the new toolkit.
