Homecare team member awarded Nursing Award by a surprise guest
Deborah Sturdy, Chief Nurse for Adult Social Care for England, based at the Department of Health and Social Care, was a surprise attendee at the Team Teach (unbeknownst to Lynn), and awarded Lynn Chief Nursing Award for Adult Social Care - The Gold Award for Outstanding Services to Social Care. This award acknowledges the exceptional people and those who stand tall amongst an incredible Social Care Workforce.
Lynn was recognised by Deborah Sturdy and the panel as truly being a leader:
“You have done exceptional things throughout your career, both at a national level and at a local level. Not only have you achieved excellence within the organisation that you work in, but you have impacted the lives of many other people, both those in care, and those you have worked with as well. When the panel met and got your nomination, it really jumped out at us that your impact is way beyond the day-to-day role, and I know that you helped out during COVID with Sir David Pearson. You have done a lot of stuff around service, re-designing, helping people to get to the nitty gritty of very difficult and challenging service problems.” Deborah Sturdy, Chief Nurse for Adult Social Care England.
