Direct Payments for CHC and eliminating profit from the care of children in Wales
The Senedd Health and Social Care Committee are inviting comments on the Health and Social Care Bill which includes provisions:
- to eliminate private profit from the care of children looked after
- to enable the introduction of direct payments for Continuing NHS Healthcare
- to amend the Regulation and Inspection of Social Care (Wales) Act 2016 and Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014.
This was previously consulted on by the Welsh Government in 2022 (see our response).
