The Government has created the Accelerating Reform Fund (ARF) to support innovation in local areas to boost quality and accessibility of adult social care in England.
The fund consists of £42.6 million and is a part of the Department of Health and Social Care’s Innovation and Improvement Unit. This total is also inclusive of the £25 million annouced in the People at The Heart of Care to support unpaid carers.
The grant will support at least two projects from each region. And the Social Care Institute for Excellence will provide hands-on support to develop local partnerships whilst delivering the projects.
Local authorities have been invited to register their interest in the fund to receive a share of the grant for funding local projects. The deadline to register is 12 January 2024. Further guidance can be found here.
The Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE) are running an information webinar about the newly announced fund. Accelerating Reform Fund: In-depth questions, will be held on the 27 November at 11:30. You need to register to attend, more information can be found here.
