Cold Health Alert issued by UKHSA

As of Thursday 9 January, the amber Cold-Health Alert (CHA) issued by the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has been extended until 9am on Tuesday 14 January.

All regions of England have received an amber Cold Health Alert (CHA) from the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA).

The alert starts from midday on Thursday 2 January and is set to last until midday on Wednesday 8 January. Prior to this, all regions were under a yellow CHA.

UKHSA has issued guidance for adult social care managers about supporting vulnerable people before and during cold weather.

The Homecare Association has also published guidance and a checklist for homecare providers on winter planning.
