Changes to Social Care Wales CPD

From 1 April, Social Care Wales have removed the target hours for Continuing Professional Development as a condition of renewing registration. This means that there will no longer be a need to upload evidence of training to meet the 45 or 90 hour requirement.

Staff should still discuss their professional development and training needs with their managers to ensure that the quality of care and support delivered improves and standards are met. Social Care Wales may ask providers for a sample of the records of these meetings.
