Camden homecare provider celebrates Outstanding rating following first inspection

Right at Home Camden, Hampstead and Golders Green has received the Outstanding rating following its first-ever inspection in September. This is a significant achievement for the service, with only 4% of homecare providers across England receiving the highest possible grading last year.   

Throughout the CQC report, Right at Home Camden was highly praised for providing “exceptional care and support” and going “above and beyond” their Clients’ expectations. The regulator highlighted several instances where staff made “extra efforts” to support people to enjoy activities, regain their independence following a hospital stay, access local communities and maintain their valued relationships.

Victoria Oecken, CQC deputy director of operations in London, said: “Staff understood people’s needs and preferences and went out of their way to support them. For example, when someone was admitted to hospital, their care worker visited them daily and brought them freshly made food. Another care worker gave someone additional time, support and companionship to ensure they were comfortable as they approached the end of their life.

“People were consistently supported by experienced staff who were caring and treated them with compassion and respect. Clients were supported by the same staff throughout their care, with whom they had developed trusted, meaningful, and empathetic relationships.

“Both leaders and staff should be deeply proud of the service they’ve created for people. Other services should read this report to see if there’s anything they can learn to promote improvements across the sector and to support more people to lead their best lives.”

Right at Home Camden, Hampstead and Golders Green provides domiciliary care and support to older and disabled adults living in their own homes. Services include Companionship, Personal Care and meal preparation, Dementia and Live-in Care.
