Adult social care sector contributes £41.2 billion a year to England's economy
Skills for Care's state of the adult social care sector and workforce in England report, issued today, estimates that the adult social care sector contributes £41.2 billion per annum to the economy in England. Eighty five percent of care organisations are SMEs with fewer than 50 employees.
The greatest number of social care jobs are in the domiciliary care sector, which comprises 43% of the overall adult social care workforce.
