Adult Social Care Learning and Development support grant 2025-26

The Department of Health and Social Care have published their Grant Determination Letter for 2025 to 2026 and confirmed funding will continue for the next financial year.

This will allow employers to claim a reimbursement for costs for eligible training courses that are undertaken from April 2025 to March 2026. There are over 100 eligible courses are listed here: Adult Social Care Learning and Development Support Scheme - GOV.UK

The scheme can be used for Registered Managers and agency staff as well as direct care giving staff (but they must be 'non-regulated' - i.e. not registered nurses, occupational therapists, social workers etc.). 

Please note the following critical deadlines for courses started and paid for between 1 April 2024 and 31 March 2025:

• Primary deadline: 21 March 2025
• Late submission window: 22-31 March 2025 (considered case-by-case)
