End of life care - Train the Trainer Programme
This resource guide and training programme has been designed to assist homecare staff to improve their knowledge and skills in end of life care.
About the programme
With more focus expected on homebased end of life care services in the future, a well-trained workforce is essential. This programme enables staff to provide high quality care and support to service users who are nearing the end of their life, while also providing support and information to their family and friends. This training covers all aspects of end of life care including roles, responsibilities and boundaries of staff, legal issues and bereavement care.
The pack contains plenty of helpful materials for the trainer including a trainer’s guide, presentation slides, resources, glossary and FAQs. Learners will benefit from handouts, written exercises, communication skills activities and other learning materials.
Who the pack is for
This Trainer the Trainer pack is designed for homecare staff who are responsible for training frontline care workers, enabling you to train staff flexibly and cost-effectively, in-house.
The end of life care pack includes a training programme to follow, suitable for first-time learners through to more experienced staff wishing to refresh their knowledge.
